Columbiana - Roberta “Bobbi” Lower, age 82, of Columbiana, passed away at home with her family by her side on Sunday, March 17, 2024.
She was born on June 19, 1941, in Youngstown, OH, daughter of the late Robert and Grace Brown Garver.
Bobbi had worked as an office manager for PHD Manufacturing for 23 years, retiring in 2005. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Leetonia and a former member of the First United Methodist Church in Columbiana. She belonged to the “Best Friends Card Club” with her good friends, Judy, Barb, Sue, Shirley, Karen, Loann, Hazel, and Joyce. Bobbi was a member of the Columbiana Women's Club and the Village Garden and Craft Club. She enjoyed cheering on the Cleveland Cavaliers, participating in water aerobics, both bird watching and tending to her bird feeders. She loved shopping at her favorite store, Kohls, and attending community events with her partner “Pudge” and her friends. Mostly she enjoyed family time. She loved day trips with her grandchildren to Beaver Creek and beach vacations with her children and families. Bobbi will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Her husband, Paul M. Lower, whom she married on December 28, 2002, preceded her in death on, June 12, 2003.
Bobbi is survived by her three sons, Rob (Saskia) Romeo of Lakewood, Tom (Amanda) Romeo of Columbiana, and Lance (Stephanie) Romeo of New Springfield; a stepdaughter, Paula Reagan of New York; a stepson, Timothy (Beth) Lower of Salem; eleven grandchildren, Zechary Hansen, Mias (Nicoline) Sommer, Isabel Romeo, Theodore Romeo, Jaxon Riley, Cynthia Romeo, Tori Romeo, Landon Lipply, Lilly Lipply, Lindsey Romeo, and Landon Romeo. Also surviving is her life partner, Bernard “Pudge” Naughton of Columbiana; numerous nieces and nephews, and her beloved cat Tinker Bell.
She was preceded in death by a son, Randall J. Romeo; sister, Margaret Anne Coalmer, three brothers, Rowland Garver, William R. Garver, and Thomas E. Garver; a granddaughter, Elissa Romeo, and her first husband, James Oliver Romeo.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, at the funeral home at 1:00 pm, with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating.
Bobbi will be laid to rest at the Columbiana Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in Bobbie’s name to the Columbiana Stadium Renovation Fund.
